The historic Phra Nakhon district around the Grand Palace and Khao San Road, with the best value scores of our Bangkok areas, and no station close to any of our hotels.

All eight of our Old Town hotels have Phra Nakhon addresses, the historic district that holds the Grand Palace and, to its north, Khao San Road.

None of them is close to the rail network: the nearest BTS or MRT station is at least 1.3km from each, in a straight line. The river is nearer. Five of them are within about 330 metres of a Chao Phraya pier.

This is the best of our Bangkok areas for value-for-money scores. Rambuttri Village Plaza, at around ฿1,843 a night for 12 to 15 January 2027, is the most reviewed hotel we list in the city, with over 53,000 reviews. It also has the lowest average score we list in Bangkok, 7.9 on Booking.com and 8.0 on Agoda, which is why it is Also Listed rather than a pick. For those dates The StandardX was around ฿5,430 a night; Riva Surya had no price for them.
