Pranburi

Pranburi here means the Pran Buri district coast south of Khao Tao, from the mangroves and the fishing village at the Pran Buri river mouth, Pak Nam Pran, down to Khao Kalok. The district town of Pran Buri itself is inland.

The Tourism Authority of Thailand describes Pak Nam Pran as a picturesque coast with white sandy beaches and a small fishing community, and the Ministry of Tourism and Sports’ directory says most villagers fish, which makes the village a centre for affordable seafood. Resorts here often use the Hua Hin name. Further south, beyond this area, is Khao Sam Roi Yot National Park, which the Tourism Authority describes separately.

The clearest pattern here is not the expected one, and it runs the wrong way. Sorted by price for 12 to 15 January 2027 (prices checked 28 October 2026), the four listings with a January price score 9.30 at ฿1,663, 9.70 at ฿1,950, 9.05 at ฿5,288 and 8.85 at ฿7,683 (Villa Maroc and Aleenta had no price for those dates). With one exception, the more a room costs in Pranburi, the lower guests rate it. We are not going to pretend that is a rule about the world, and the samples at the cheap end are the smaller ones, but it is what the numbers say and it is the opposite of what you would assume.

At the cheap end, BC Summer Beach is beachfront at around ฿1,950 a night, with the best cleanliness score we list anywhere around Hua Hin at 9.9, and The Hillside Pranburi Resort has garden bungalows at around ฿1,663. At the top, Villa Maroc Resort is a Moroccan riad in pink and ochre at around ฿5,337 for 15 to 18 November 2026, with no price for 12 to 15 January 2027, and the only building of its kind on this coast. Sheraton Hua Hin Pranburi Villas is pool villas at around ฿7,683. Aleenta Hua Hin - Pranburi was around ฿9,735 a night for 15 to 18 November 2026, with no price for 12 to 15 January 2027, and its 8.5 on Agoda is exactly our bar.

One practical split worth checking before you book. Wifi here runs from 7.5 at the Sheraton to a perfect 10 at The Hillside, BC Summer and Aleenta, a 2.5-point range inside one small stretch of coast.
