The Old Town, Ban Si Raya, is on the east coast of Lanta Yai, across the island from the beaches. The Government Public Relations Department describes it as a fishing community several hundred years old, home to Thai Buddhist, Thai Chinese and Thai Muslim families.
It is the cheapest of our Lanta areas. Sweet Life Guesthouse has the cheapest room we list on the island at around ฿500 a night, and Navareeya House Seaview tops out at around ฿1,300.
