The product page gives 5.0 out of 5 from 129 reviews; Viator's search page showed 4.8 for the same trip the same day, and where they disagree we take the product page and print the discrepancy. Almost every Phi Phi trip sold online leaves from Phuket or Krabi and belongs on those pages; this is one of the few run from Phi Phi Don itself, which is the whole point of it. No price is published because Viator quotes in the currency of wherever you are sitting. We have not done this trip.
Verified via. Read on its own Viator product page on 21 September 2026, where Viator names the supplier as Phi Phi Local Tour. Maya Bay's 2026 closure, 1 August to 30 September, comes from the Department of National Parks' closure announcement of 18 December 2025, as republished by the Tourism Authority of Thailand.

The case for staying on Phi Phi rather than day-tripping to it is this trip. The boats from Phuket and Krabi reach Maya Bay in the middle of the morning, all of them at once. Leaving from Phi Phi Don before sunrise gets you there first.
The bay is closed at the moment. The Department of National Parks shuts Maya Bay, Loh Samah and Ao Loh Ko from 1 August to 30 September 2026. Trips still run in that window and go elsewhere, so ask the operator what the itinerary actually becomes on your date before you pay.
It is an early start. Before dawn, which on Phi Phi means going to bed at an hour the island is not designed for.
