Bang Tao

Bang Tao is a long beach on Phuket’s west coast north of Kamala, and home to the Laguna Phuket resort complex.

We list six hotels here, all Researched Picks, and between them they hold the widest range of scores of any Phuket area. Similan Hotel, a one-star guesthouse in Cherng Talay at around ฿1,400 a night for 15 to 18 November 2026 (there was no price for 12 to 15 January 2027), is the highest-rated hotel we list in Phuket, 9.7 on Booking.com and 9.5 on Agoda. Andaman Seaside Resort, at around ฿3,107 for 15 to 18 November 2026, is held for a spot check and is the lowest-rated, at 8.5 on both platforms, which is our bar exactly.

Of those with a January price: Bangtao Mango House at around ฿2,890, The Pavilions at around ฿10,850, and SAii Laguna Phuket, inside the Laguna complex, at around ฿20,297. ibis Styles Phuket Bangtao is held at its November figure (around ฿4,060) pending a spot check.

Three of the six are inland rather than on the sand. Similan Hotel sits between the beaches: its coordinates are about 1.1km from the middle of Surin beach, the next beach south, and about 870 metres from Ban Bang Thao village.
