Karon Viewpoint

Karon Viewpoint sits on the hill road between Nai Harn and Kata Noi, and it exists because of one geometric accident: from this bend you can see Kata Noi, Kata and Karon beaches stacked in a single crescent, with the water changing colour across the three of them. The municipality calls it the Three Beaches Viewpoint, and its older name was the Kata viewpoint.

We can be unusually definite about the price. Karon Sub-district Municipality publishes a page for the viewpoint, and it says no entrance fee, open 24 hours. Of eight Phuket attractions checked on 18 September 2026, this was the only one where an authority stated the position in its own words rather than leaving it to travel blogs. That is worth more than it sounds: everywhere else on this page carries a caveat instead of a number.

What is not covered by that. Parking. The municipality’s page says nothing about it, and Thai roadside viewpoints commonly charge a small amount to park even where entry is free. Carry coins and do not be surprised.

The practical version. It is a stop, not a destination. There is a viewing terrace, a sign, stalls of variable enthusiasm, and a car park that is too small at sunset. Coming from Kata it is a short, steep climb by scooter; coming from Nai Harn it is a lovely stretch of coast road that is worth the ride on its own.
