Comfort scores 9.6, and location, cleanliness and staff all 9.5. Facilities are 9.3. It is on Naresdamri Road, the beachfront street in the middle of town, which is why the location figure is what it is: you are on the sand and in the town at once, which almost nothing else here manages.
Booking.com lists a pool, a spa and wellness centre, a sauna, a fitness centre, room service and a shuttle, and shows an official five-star rating.
Two softer numbers. Value for money is 8.9, and wifi 8.8, the weakest of our six town listings. Neither is bad, but in an area where the other five all do better on connectivity it is the one to check if you are working. The cheapest room for two on our dates was a standard king at around ฿9,456 a night.
