Khao Takiab and its temple

The Buddha's height and the founding date are from the Ministry of Culture; entry and hours are from a site that presents itself as the temple's, which we could not confirm is official. Travel sites also call it Wat Khao Lad, a name no primary source we read uses. We have not been.
Verified via. The Ministry of Culture's record for Wat Khao Takiab gives the standing Buddha's height and the temple's founding date. The Tourism Authority of Thailand places the hill at the southern end of Hua Hin Beach. The position is from OpenStreetMap.
Admission
Free, according to khaotakiabtemple.com. That site presents itself as the temple's own but names no committee or contact, so we have not treated it as confirmed.
Khao Takiab is the hill at the southern end of Hua Hin Beach. The Tourism Authority of Thailand calls it Chopsticks Hill, with striking views and a temple on top, and Hua Hin Municipality describes it as a granite hill on the south side of Hua Hin bay, with a road up to the temple.
The Ministry of Culture’s record for Wat Khao Takiab gives its standing Buddha, in the posture of calming the ocean, as 16 metres high, and the temple’s founding date as 29 November 1985. The site that presents itself as the temple’s own warns visitors about the monkeys and asks for modest dress.
Is there a fee? That site says entry is free and gives daily hours of 08:00 to 18:00. VERSO Hua Hin is about 440 metres away, the nearest of our Khao Takiab picks.
