Phraya Nakhon Cave
A large cave in Khao Sam Roi Yot National Park, lit through a hole in its roof, with a royal pavilion built for King Rama V in 1890 standing inside.

Checked on 19 September 2026. The fee is from the department's own published table; no separate cave charge was found. Opening hours are only reported, by Kapook and Thairath, and differ slightly, so they are not published as confirmed. We have not been.
Verified via. The Department of National Parks' open-data fee table gives Khao Sam Roi Yot's foreign adult rate as 200 baht. The Tourism Authority of Thailand describes the cave, the trail and the pavilion. The position is from OpenStreetMap.
Admission
From ฿200. Khao Sam Roi Yot National Park's foreign adult rate in the Department of National Parks' published fee table: 200 baht, children 100. Thai adults pay 40. We found no separate charge for the cave.
The Tourism Authority of Thailand calls Phraya Nakhon Cave the highlight of Khao Sam Roi Yot National Park. It describes a large two-chamber cave, reached by a jungle trail of less than an hour, with an opening in its roof that lets daylight in.
Inside stands the Khuha Kharuehat Pavilion, built for King Rama V’s visit in 1890 and now the symbol of Prachuap Khiri Khan province, according to the Tourism Authority.
What it costs. The park fee, 200 baht for a foreign adult by the Department of National Parks’ published table. It is well south of our Pranburi picks, in Sam Roi Yot district, so plan it as a day out.
