What you get is an actual hut: dark timber and woven bamboo, a mosquito net over the bed, a hammock strung across a wooden deck, set among banana palms on the slope above the beach. Several rooms have painted feature walls. Booking.com lists a garden, a terrace, bicycle rental, massage, express check-in and a tour desk, and shows no official star rating.
Three numbers are the lowest of our six Klong Nin picks and they all point the same way: cleanliness 9.0, comfort 9.1 and facilities 8.7. None of those is a bad score. They are what happens when you compare a wooden hut with the concrete and tile around it, and if that is the trade you want, the staff score suggests it is a good one.
