Klong Dao & Saladan

Klong Dao is the first beach down the west coast of Lanta Yai, and Saladan is the village at the island’s northern tip where the ferries and speedboats arrive. This is the end of the island you reach first.

We list five hotels here, four Researched Picks and one Also Listed. None of them had a price for 12 to 15 January 2027, so the figures below are for 15 to 18 November 2026. On Klong Dao itself, Jai Tiki Retreat is adults only and listed as beachfront, with the best location score we list on the island, at around ฿6,780 a night, and Lanta Island Resort, Also Listed, has beachfront bungalows and a pool at around ฿1,800. TwinBay Resort is about 150 metres from Kaw Kwang beach, north of Klong Dao, with a private beach area, 2,668 reviews and rooms at around ฿5,625 with breakfast. Noble House Beach Resort is around ฿8,910.

Inland, De Saran Lanta is a small guesthouse about 750 metres from the pier, with the best value score on the island at around ฿1,800, and i-Style Lanta Boutique House, between Saladan and Kaw Kwang, is around ฿1,500, with a perfect 10 for wifi.

If you want to be by the sea, it is Jai Tiki, Lanta Island Resort or TwinBay. If you want to be near the boats and spend little, De Saran or i-Style.

No smoking on the beach. The Department of Marine and Coastal Resources lists Khlong Dao among 24 beaches where smoking is banned, and says it provides designated smoking areas on them.
