Klong Dao is the first beach down the west coast of Lanta Yai, and Saladan is the village at the island’s northern tip where the ferries and speedboats arrive. This is the end of the island you reach first.
We list two properties here, and between them they have the highest average scores of any Lanta area. Jai Tiki Retreat is adults only and listed as beachfront, with the best location score we list on the island, at around ฿6,780 a night. De Saran Lanta is a small guesthouse inland, about 750 metres from the pier, with the best value score on the island at around ฿1,800.
If you want to be on the sand, it has to be Jai Tiki. If you want to be near the boats and spend little, De Saran.
No smoking on the beach. The Department of Marine and Coastal Resources lists Khlong Dao among 24 beaches where smoking is banned, and says it provides designated smoking areas on them.
