At around ฿18,557 a night this is more than twice the price of anything else we list on Samui, and roughly seventeen times Phannarai House up the same stretch of coast. So the question is not whether it is good. It is whether the numbers justify the multiple.
They are exceptional. Wifi scores a perfect 10, cleanliness 9.8, staff 9.8, comfort 9.7, facilities 9.6. It occupies its own bay on the headland above Lamai with a private beach, two pools and a full spa, and location holds up at 9.4 despite being well away from anything.
The number that does not follow is value for money at 8.8. Set that against Garrya Tongsai Bay, another five-star with its own bay at Choeng Mon, at roughly half the price: Garrya scores 9.2 on value. Phannarai House, under three kilometres away and a seventeenth of the price, scores 9.6. Guests here are consistently saying the experience is superb and the price is steep, and they are the ones who paid it.
Note the platform gap too. Booking.com says 9.5 from 462 reviews; Agoda says 9.2 from 1,880. The larger sample gives the lower figure, and we would trust it more.
