It holds the best location score we list on Koh Tao, 9.6. It is also a hostel: for our dates Booking.com offered only bunk beds in a mixed dormitory, at around ฿1,699 a bed a night, so two adults pay around ฿3,398 between them.

Correction, 17 September 2026. We first published the per-bed price as if it were the rate for two, which made this look like the second-cheapest thing we list on Koh Tao. It is not, and the price above is now for two beds.

The rest of the board backs it up. Staff 9.8, cleanliness 9.7, comfort 9.7, wifi 9.8. Nothing below 9.2.

The location score is doing real work here rather than being a flattering number. Sairee is the one part of Koh Tao where you can walk out of the door and reach dive schools, food and a beach, and a property a short way off the strip gets the access without sitting on top of the noise.

One caveat on the evidence, and it matters. Agoda has only 52 reviews here against Booking’s 546. The combined 598 clears our bar comfortably, but it clears it almost entirely on Booking’s strength. Treat the 9.5 as the reliable figure and the 9.6 as a small sample that happens to agree.

Note also that this is a hostel and adults only, with shared dormitories, a shared kitchen rather than a restaurant, and no pool. Value for money scores 9.2, which suggests guests think that is a fair trade.
