Koh Nang Yuan
Three small islands off Koh Tao joined by a sandbar, a short boat ride from Mae Haad or Sairee, with a published entrance fee and a published list of rules.

What we checked, 18 September 2026
Checked on 18 September 2026 on the island operator's own site. The fee is stated per person rather than per adult, carries no date, and does not distinguish children, so it is published exactly as stated. The boat range is the operator's indication of what third-party taxi boats charge, not its own fare. We have not been.
Verified via. The island is run through its resort, whose own site, nangyuan.com, read on 18 September 2026, states the entrance fee of 250 baht per person and 50 for Thai visitors, day-visitor hours of 10:00 to 15:00, and its island rules. OpenStreetMap records the islets at 10.1162, 99.8145.
Admission
From ฿250. 250 baht per person for day visitors, 50 for Thai visitors, paid on arrival, per the island operator's own site. The boat is separate: the operator gives 300 to 600 baht per person return by taxi boat as an indicative range, not a fixed fare.
Koh Nang Yuan is three small islands just off the north-west corner of Koh Tao, joined by a sandbar that makes the photograph everybody takes from the viewpoint. It is privately run through the resort on it, which is why it can charge a fee and set rules that a public beach could not.
The fee and the hours, from the operator. 250 baht per person for day visitors and 50 for Thai visitors, paid on arrival. Day visitors are admitted from 10:00 to 15:00, and after the last boat the island is for resort guests only.
The rules are the point. The operator publishes them as its important island rules: no single-use plastic bottles, no fins while snorkelling, no smoking on the beach, no loud music, no drones over the property, and all waste in the bins. The plastic rule catches people out at the pier. Bring a refillable bottle or buy water on the island.
Getting there. Taxi boats from Mae Haad pier or Sairee Beach. The operator’s own indication is 300 to 600 baht per person return, which is a range for boats it does not run rather than a fare it sets, so agree the price before you board.
How to do it well. Arrive at ten when day visitors are first admitted and climb to the viewpoint before the heat, then snorkel. With a five-hour window for every day visitor on the island, the sandbar fills quickly.
What we have not done. Been. Jesse and Stacey stayed on Koh Tao in March 2025, and until he writes about it this listing is researched, not visited.
