What we checked, 18 September 2026

Two elephant venues near Pattaya with real samples clear our bar of 9.0 out of 10 and 50 reviews, each read on its own Klook page on 18 September 2026. What each involves is quoted from its own listing. A guest score measures whether visitors enjoyed their visit; it is not a welfare audit, and we have not been to either.

Verified via. Both operators below were read off their own Klook listing pages on 18 September 2026, where the score, the review count and the programme description come from the listing itself.

Who runs it

Separate companies, listed separately. We do not average scores across operators, because the average would describe a trip you cannot book.

Two elephant venues near Pattaya with a real sample clear our scoring bar. Neither sells riding. Both describe contact with the elephants, which is worth understanding before you book.

In each venue’s own words:

Venue Score Reviews What the listing says
Elephant Jungle Sanctuary Pattaya 4.9 / 5 1,779 “Play, touch, and feed the elephants”
Living Green Elephant Sanctuary 4.8 / 5 246 “Walk, feed, and bond with elephants in a natural and safe environment”

Reading that. Both are contact programmes: feeding, touching, walking alongside. Neither describes an observation-only option on its listing, which is different from the Phuket and Chiang Mai sanctuaries we list, where at least one venue in each does. If a no-contact visit is what you want, the venues near Pattaya we checked do not advertise one.

Where they are. Living Green is in the Khao Khiew area of Chon Buri, with its meeting point at Ekkamai Bus Station in Bangkok and transfers from Pattaya, so it suits someone staying in either city. Elephant Jungle Sanctuary Pattaya offers morning or afternoon visits.

What a score does not tell you. Elephant Jungle Sanctuary’s listing states it has passed Klook’s own onsite welfare assessment. That is Klook’s assessment, not ours and not an independent one. We have not been to either venue and are not ranking them on welfare.

No prices here. Klook quotes in US dollars across several programmes.
