Tung Yee Peng mangroves
A community mangrove forest on the sheltered east coast of northern Lanta Yai, with a nature-study walkway into the trees.

Checked on 18 September 2026. The site is real and mapped, and its Thai name says it is a community forest, but we found nothing published by whoever runs it: no fee, no hours, no operator. The only price we saw is a volunteer's note on the map. The photo is from the same stretch of coast by its recorded location, not confirmed as the walkway itself. We have not been.
Verified via. OpenStreetMap maps the Tung Yee Peng community forest nature trail on the east coast of northern Ko Lanta Yai, under the Thai name for a community forest nature-study route, and Wikidata records it as the Tung Yi Peng natural study and eco-tourism centre in Saladan.
Admission
No authority publishes a charge. The site's Thai name marks it as a community forest, and no managing group, fee or hours could be found. An OpenStreetMap volunteer has noted a 40 baht charge for the walkway, which is a mapper's note rather than an official figure. Carry small notes.
Tung Yee Peng is on the east coast of northern Lanta Yai, the sheltered side facing the mainland, where the shore is mangrove rather than sand. The site is a community forest with a nature-study walkway out among the trees, according to its Thai name on OpenStreetMap.
What we can and cannot tell you. It is real and mapped, and that is most of what is published. We could not find who manages it, what it charges or when it opens. An OpenStreetMap volunteer has written a 40 baht charge into the map. That may well be right, but it is a note on a map, not a price list, so treat it as a guide.
Why go. Almost everything we list on Koh Lanta is on the west coast, facing the open sea. The mangroves show the other side of the island, the east coast the Old Town sits on, and a short walk here is an easy way to see it. Mangrove kayaking trips are also sold on Lanta; none we found on Klook had enough reviews to list yet.
It is a short drive from Long Beach and Klong Dao.
