Baan Haad Ngam is a four-star boutique resort directly on Chaweng Beach, and the guest scores are unusually even. Nothing below 8.1, nothing that flags as a problem, staff and cleanliness both at 9.3.
That evenness is worth something. A lot of properties score well overall while hiding one bad number. This one does not.
Value for money at 8.9 is high for Chaweng at this price point. The facilities are what you would want and not much more: pool, gym, beachfront, airport shuttle. Wifi at 8.1 is the softest score, fine for holiday use.
Agoda carries far more reviews here (2,545 against Booking’s 744) and scores it slightly lower at 8.6. The gap is three tenths, which is inside the range we accept, but if you weight by volume the Agoda number is probably closer to the truth.
