Staff score 9.7, cleanliness and comfort both 9.6, facilities 9.4 and wifi 9.2. Value for money is 9.0, which for a beachfront five-star at this price is telling.
It sits on the shore at the eastern end of Mae Nam, and Booking.com lists it as beachfront with a pool, a spa and wellness centre, a fitness centre, room service and a bar, and shows an official five-star rating. It is adults only, which is the single most important thing to know about it.
Location scores 8.7. That is a good deal better than the Bang Por end of this area, though still short of what Chaweng or Bophut manage, because Mae Nam is quiet and you will drive for most things. The cheapest room for two on our dates was a deluxe double or twin with a balcony at around ฿10,043 a night.
