The Passage is at Bang Po on the north-west coast, the same remote stretch as Panorama and Code, and it is the most fully equipped of the three: three pools, a spa, a gym, a private beach. At around ฿2,404 a night that is a lot of resort for the money, which is why it is here.
The location score of 8.0 is the trade. This end of the island is a drive from everywhere, and guests mark it down for exactly that. Wifi at 9.6 is excellent, and staff at 9.3 is strong.
Two cautions. Agoda scores it 8.5, exactly our minimum, and value for money at 8.4 is below it at the sub-score level. It qualifies, but it is not a property that clears the bar with room to spare.
If you are happy to hire a car and want facilities rather than location, it makes sense. If you want to step out of the hotel and into somewhere, it does not.
