A day in the middle of the island by jeep, up tracks a hire car cannot take, with lunch and the viewpoints most visitors never reach.

Checked on 21 September 2026: 4.5 out of 5 from 525 reviews on the product page, which is 9.0 out of 10 and clears the bar on both counts. Viator's search page showed 4.6 the same day, and we print the lower figure from the product page. The photograph is a safari truck on Samui's hill tracks, not this operator's vehicle, and the caption says so. We have not done this trip.
Verified via. Read on its own Viator product page on 21 September 2026, where Viator names the supplier as Mr. Ung's Magical Safari Tours and the product as a jeep safari including lunch.

The middle of Samui is mountain, and the roads up it are dirt, steep and outside what a hire car’s insurance covers. A jeep day is the straightforward way to see the inside of the island.
It is a full day. Viewpoints over both coasts, a waterfall, lunch, and long stretches of being bounced up tracks. Sit at the front if your back is a consideration.
525 reviews at 4.5 out of 5. A deep sample for a single-operator tour, and it has been running on Samui long enough to have one.
What it is not. It is not a wildlife tour. The interior is rubber and coconut plantation with patches of forest, and the animals you see will be the ones at whatever stop the day includes.
