Phaeng Waterfall and Domsila Viewpoint
A forest waterfall in the middle of the island, with a rock viewpoint above it looking out over the south-west coast.

Checked on 18 September 2026. The positions are from OpenStreetMap and the park rate from the department's own table. Whether that rate is charged at this entrance is not confirmed, because the two sources that mention it disagree and neither is the department, whose park page would not load. The walking time to the viewpoint in circulation comes from a travel wiki only, so we have not printed it. We have not been.
Verified via. OpenStreetMap maps Phaeng Waterfall, Nam Tok Phaeng, and the Dom Sila viewpoint above it, both inside the mapped boundary of Than Sadet-Ko Pha-ngan National Park. The Department of National Parks' open-data fee table gives the park's foreign adult rate as 100 baht.

Whether it is collected at this entrance is disputed: an OpenStreetMap volunteer has tagged the falls as free, and a travel wiki says 100 baht is taken at the entrance station. Neither is the department. Carry 100 baht.
Phaeng is a waterfall in the forested middle of Koh Phangan, a short drive inland from Thong Sala, falling in steps over boulders. A trail continues uphill from the falls to Domsila, a rock viewpoint looking out over the south-west of the island towards the small island of Ko Tae Nai.
Is there a fee? Possibly. The falls are inside Than Sadet-Ko Pha-ngan National Park by its mapped boundary, and the park’s published rate is 100 baht for a foreign adult. But a volunteer on OpenStreetMap has tagged the falls as free and a travel wiki says the fee is collected at an entrance station, so we cannot tell you which is right. Carry 100 baht and you are covered either way.
The walk up. The viewpoint is the reason to keep going past the falls. We have not published a walking time, because the only figure we found is from a travel wiki, but it is a proper uphill trail rather than a stroll.
Rainy-season caution. Canada’s travel advice for Thailand says jungle treks are not advisable in the rainy season because of the risk of mudslides.
