Wat Phu Khao Noi
A hilltop temple about 3km inland from the Thong Sala pier, a registered historic site with an old main chedi and smaller chedis around it.

Checked on 18 September 2026. The heritage registration and the description of the chedis come from the Ministry of Culture's own database. Its founding date, often given as 1889, comes from Thai Wikipedia rather than an official record, so we have not printed it as fact. The ministry's map position and OpenStreetMap's disagree by about 1.6km; we use OpenStreetMap's, which agrees with Wikidata. We have not been.
Verified via. The Ministry of Culture's cultural data centre records Wat Phu Khao Noi, also called Wat Phutthachediyaram, as registered by the Fine Arts Department, with a main chedi and smaller chedis on the hilltop. OpenStreetMap and Wikidata place it inland from Thong Sala.
Admission
No charge is published, by the temple or anyone else. It is a working temple and a registered historic site, and we found no ticketing of any kind.
Wat Phu Khao Noi sits on a small hill about 3km inland from the Thong Sala pier. The Ministry of Culture records it as registered by the Fine Arts Department, which is Thailand’s heritage authority, and describes a main chedi with smaller chedis around it on the hilltop.
Its age. Thai Wikipedia puts its founding in 1889. That does not come from an official record we could read, so take it as the local story rather than a fact we have checked.
Visiting. No charge is published anywhere. It is a working temple as well as a historic site, so dress as you would for any temple in Thailand, shoulders and knees covered.
It is about 3km from the pier at Thong Sala, where the ferries arrive.
